"100 Women take on Hollywood.
A group of female investors change the way films are made. And it's about time."
Wall Street Journal Arts Section, sometime in the near future

Pioneering Angels
Once Upon a Time the world of film was ruled by men. Though there were more women directors, producers and writers than ever before, men held the purse strings. They ultimately decided who and what to fund, the film and TV that we watch and our cultural narratives.
Call to Adventure.
Spaghetti Western is an urgent and fresh re-telling of the Wild West celebrating trailblazing women, the immigrant experience and how food and the breaking of bread ignited souls and nourished community spirit in the face of adversity.

We follow Elena Fardella, who in 1881, leaves Sicily with her hapless husband Lorenzo and his dreams of fame and fortune in the American West. Day one, Lorenzo dies in a saloon brawl and Elena finds herself stranded in the remote town of Eden in the territory of New Mexico. She is penniless, with a wagonful of Italian food. Convincing the local Madame that she should be the brothel cook, Elena flourishes, her cuisine inspiring all who eat it. However, when a crooked sheriff appears on the scene, Elena has to use her wit, her new friendships and the food she creates to save the town, ultimately finding her voice and a sense of belonging.
Spaghetti Western is the first film to be collectively funded by women investors ever - and it’s about time. More than simply bestowing financial wherewithal, whoever funds a film decides what stories are worth telling, and how. This is the ultimate power. Stories are medicine, they are hope, they guide our way. For true storytelling liberation, women investors need to fund women creators.

In approaching film financing in this way, we are taking angel investment back to its Broadway roots and reclaiming the power of storytelling.

“...We have not even to risk the adventure alone, for the heroes of all time have gone before us, the labyrinth is thoroughly known; we have only to follow the thread of the hero-path… and where we had thought to be alone, we shall be with all the world.”
Joseph Campbell
The Future is Bright
A storytelling revolution does not come from just forging a new path; you now have a responsibility to help others through. Based on the success of Spaghetti Western, we look forward to creating a Female Frontier Film Fund, supporting other women filmmakers and female collaborators working together to bring their visions and stories to life.

Once Spaghetti Western has been produced, we envision the creation of a fund, replicating this success and building on it. Pioneering Angels will have the first opportunity to contribute and benefit from this future fundraising opportunity.
